Why this template
A good shot list is half the schedule.
On a tight day, the difference between making the schedule and falling an hour behind comes down to whether the AD and DP are looking at the same shot list. If the list is grouped by setup and the coverage is marked, the day flows. If it is a list of shots in screenplay order, you re-block four times before lunch.
This template does the small things right: shots group by setup, coverage gets marked as it is captured, and the auto-calculating shooting times tell you whether you have a chance of making it.

What's inside
Every column an AD or DP wants — and nothing they don't.
Pre-filled dropdowns make the rows fast to fill. Auto math means the time estimate updates as you go.
Scene & shot numbers
The columns the script supervisor and editor need, in slate-friendly format.
Setup grouping
Group rows by setup so the day flows — not by screenplay order.
Lens & camera height
Pre-filled dropdowns for the most-used focal lengths and rig heights.
Camera movement
Static, pan, tilt, dolly, crane, handheld, Steadicam — selectable in one click.
Shot type
WS / MS / CU / OTS / POV — labeled so the slate matches the list.
Auto-calculating shoot time
Per-shot time estimates roll up to a setup total and a day total.
Coverage tracking
Mark a shot complete and it shows up in the day's coverage tally.
Notes column
Free-text room for blocking, lighting cues, and the things that don't fit in a dropdown.
